The wolf from "Well, wait a minute!", In my opinion, is one of the most charming negative characters of Soviet cartoons. Charming for so many that many viewers worried about him, and not for the supposedly positive hare. Do you know where did the image of the bully Wolf come from?

The author of the image of the Wolf became the artist Svetozar Rusakov. The prototype was a citizen from Novosibirsk. He met him in a huge queue at the cinema box office, when some insolent guy was trying to get out of the queue. Later, from memory, he tried to draw it. It turned out this type
How is a cartoon created? First, the script is written. And then the art director joins the work. He creates images of future heroes (© Svetozar Rusakov)
And translates the story written by the scriptwriter into drawings. (© Svetozar Rusakov)
The viewer will not see these drawings (© Svetozar Rusakov)
What he sees on the screen is the work of the entire team (© Svetozar Rusakov)
Much redrawn, much has been changed (© Svetozar Rusakov)
But the general idea of the future cartoon, the team gets exactly these sketches (© Svetozar Rusakov)
Here are a few preserved sketches of Svetozar Rusakov to the famous cartoon (© Svetozar Rusakov)

And then often the characters live on their own, separate lives, not related to animation. For example in the comics

Although, I do not think that these drawings were drawn as a comic. I will assume that these are blanks for some "wick", where they also used images of the Hare and the Wolf
But there are comics too. Here are a couple of fragments
But it is already, more like modern
But in our childhood there were comic strips
