The best films of the Soviet cinema. 1961

We continue the weather review of popular Soviet films. Moving on to the next decade - the sixties. In 1961, more than seventy films were shot. Let's remember the most notable of them.

Leader of the Year - Comedy "Striped Flight"

They say that the film based on the stories of Viktor Konetsky was shot on the initiative of N. S. Khrushchev after he visited the circus and met Margarita Nazarova

Second place in the military drama "Clear Sky"

The same film was the best after the voting of the Soviet screen and received the main prize at the second Moscow International Film Festival

Third place in the box office at the historical drama "Two Lives" with Nikolai Rybnikov and Vyacheslav Tikhonov

The fourth place rolled in the comedy "Beware, Grandma!" with the brilliant Faina Ranevskaya

The fifth in the military drama "Baltic Sky" with Peter Glebov, Mikhail Ulyanov, Rolan Bykov, Mikhail Kozakov

What else would you like to mention from the films of the year

Of course, this is a short film with which "that same Gaidai" began.

"Dog Mongrel and unusual cross" - the film gave us a wonderful trinity of Trus, Balbes, Experienced

Another comedy, from another comedian - Eldar Ryazanov - did not find success, and soon his “Man from Nowhere” was completely banned.

The film is interesting because for the first time the main roles in the movie were played by Anatoly Papanov and Sergey Yursky.

And this year the viewer got acquainted with several film adaptations. First of all, I would like to mention the stunningly beautiful film "Scarlet Sails" by Alexander Green with Anastasia Vertinskaya and Vasily Lanov (27 place at the box office)

According to Lev Tolstoy, the film "Cossacks" was shot with Zinaida Kiriyenko and Boris Andreyev (19th place in the box office)

According to the story of Vladimir Korolenko - "The Blind Musician" with Boris and Vasily Livanov (29th place in the box office)

In the same year, the first screen version of the autobiographical book of the traveler and researcher Vladimir Arsenyev "Dersu Uzala" was released.

You can also note two television film adaptation - Shakespeare's "The Taming of the Shrew"

and Sholokhov's "Nakhalenok"

What else can be noted from the film, released on screens in 1961

Well, probably comedy "Aleshkina love" (21 place at the box office)

Dramas "My friend, Kolka! .." (20 place at the box office)

and Evdokia (9th place in the box office)

Comedy melodramas "Dima Gorin's Career" (31 place at the box office)

and "Noisy Day" (36 place at the box office)

Well, I think that's enough, on the turn of 1962
