In all regions of the country began to appear their own rock clubs. But nevertheless, the most popular groups were mostly from three cities: Moscow, Leningrad and Sverdlovsk
Let's remember the most popular rock bands of those years. So that it does not occur to anyone that I put the importance of this or that group above - I arranged the groups in alphabetical order. And since there are a lot of bands worthy of mention, today I will only talk about groups with the letter "A"
Agatha Christie

The group was founded in 1985 in Sverdlovsk by Vadim Samoilov, Alexander Kozlov and Peter May. The first name is VIA RTF UPI. But the official birthday of the band is February 20, 1988, when Gleb Samoilov joined the group at the Ural Polytech concert. At the same time, the first official magnetoalbum of the "Second Front" band was recorded (although before that the group had already released 3 albums - "If", "Voice" and "Light," the third one was from Agatha Christie)
The band has 10 albums, the last of which was released in 2010
At the moment, the group does not exist anymore. And the brothers Samoilov through the court trying to find out which of them sing songs from the repertoire of the group

Aquarium

The group was founded in 1972 by Boris Grebenshchikov and Anatoly Gunitsky in Leningrad. The first concert experience of the band appeared only at the end of 1973. And the first album, "Temptation of the Holy Aquarium", dates back to 1974 and has one more name - "the first" prehistoric "magnetoalbum of BG and George." After that, there are a few more "prehistoric" albums (the most famous of which is the magnetoalbum BG and Mike Naumenko "All Brothers Sisters." But the first studio albums ("historical") were recorded in the studio of Andrei Tropillo in 1981 "Blue Album" and "Triangle"
In total, the group recorded about 100 albums, the last of which, the mini album "The Door of the Grass", was released on October 20, 2017

Alice

The group "Alice" was formed in April 1983 in Leningrad, after the collapse of the group "Crystal Ball", the leader of which was Svyatoslav Zaderiy. The band is recording the album "Krivozerkalje". But fame for the group came only in 1984, after the arrival of Konstantin Kinchev in it. In 1985, the first studio album "Alice" was released - "Energy", recorded at the studio of Andrei Tropillo. And a year later the group leaves its founder Svyatoslav Zaderiy and Konstantin Kinchev becomes the sole leader of the team
To date, the band recorded two dozen studio albums, the last of which was released in 2016

Aria

This, probably looks funny, but the creation of the group "Aria" we should be grateful to VIA "Singing Hearts". It was in this band that the backbone of the future rock band formed, which in parallel with the accompaniment in the VIA in 1985 created their own band performing heavy music. The birthday of the band is October 31, 1985, when the work on the first studio album "Mania of Greatness" was completed. Well, the first concert of the band took place in the Palace of Culture of the Moscow Aviation Institute on February 5, 1986, on the opening for themselves as "Singing Hearts"
To date, the group recorded 12 studio albums, the last of which was released in 2014

Auktsion
The Auktsion Group in the 80s
The auction was formed in 1978 by Leonid Fedorov. More precisely, she was called "Paragraph" first, and then "Phaethon" and performed mainly at dances. In 1980 Oleg Garkusha joined the group as the author of the words. And in 1983, before the introductory concert in the Leningrad rock club, the team changed its name to "Auktsion"
To date, the group recorded 10 studio albums, the last of which was released in May 2016
