Advertising of alcohol in the USSR

The fact that there was advertising in the USSR, you, I think, will not argue. It, to be honest, was in most cases little effective (and often useless) and was more of an introductory nature. But the situation with the product, which especially in advertising did not need alcohol, is very interesting. Nevertheless, his advertising was also

First of all, this concerned the production of various wineries. Look, what a wonderful prospectus of Massandra with the verses of "our everything"

Well, the product itself

And this is the advertising of the products of another winery - Abrau-Durso

In this respect it is very interesting to look through the Catalog of Liquors and Vodka Products of 1957, in which about 100 names of alcoholic beverages

The catalog itself can be viewed under the link - Catalog of Liquor and Vodka Products 1957

Well, below, you can see several advertising brochures of those years

First wine

Here cognacs

Balsams and liqueurs

Well, a separate topic is advertising vodka. It was oriented exclusively to the western exporter - our citizens did not need to advertise it. Especially when you consider that the stores were in the main "Russian" and "Wheaten". Although there may be a loss of memory for me, as during the Soviet times I was interested in absolutely other drinks, in which there was no alcohol at all

By the way, we will return to the title picture - he is worthy of it

Photo taken by photographer Valery Plotnikov at the former summer residence of writer Leo Kassil for the union "Sojuzplodoimport"
In the yellow jacket is the wife of the photographer Irina Sobinova-Kassil,
Yury Menshagin, an actor of the Moscow Art Theater, leaned against the tree.
Further, the rabbit fashion models from the OMDO Tatiana Sopovieva (future wife of N. Mikhalkov)
and Natalia Gotovtseva (future wife of V. Yezhov author Ballad of a Soldier).
Sits Yuri Bogatyrev

Well, and lastly, a picture taken just today, in the store of one of the winemaking farms of Stavropol. I really liked this installation of old wines

PS. It turns out there was another frame, with more cheerful faces
