Front photos of Soviet actors. Part 2. Etush, Basov, Green, Katin-Yartsev, Grinko

I think no one will be surprised to hear that among the Soviet actors there were many veterans of the Great Patriotic War, soldiers who fought in the fields of this terrible war. In this collection front-line photo actors, united not only by war. All of them are united by one film - "The Adventures of Pinocchio"

Vladimir Etush

Vladimir Abramovich Etush volunteered for the front at the end of September 1941. Fought on the mountain passes of the Caucasus, liberated southern cities and Ukraine from the fascist invaders.

For the courage shown in battles, he was awarded the Order of the Red Star and numerous medals. In 1943, under Tokmak (Zhovtnevoye village) in the Zaporozhye region, he was seriously wounded. After the hospital received a second group of disability and was commissioned

Vladimir Basov

June 20, 1941 Vladimir Basov graduated from high school. The next day he came to VGIK, to learn the rules of reception. But the war intervened

At the beginning of the war, Basov received an invitation to the Red Army Theater, but he refused

He left for the front in 1942. In 1943 he was already a lieutenant of the quartermaster service of the 4th separate rifle brigade

But the thought of the theater did not leave him in the war. Basov organized an amateur ensemble, which gave concerts to soldiers directly in dugouts, trenches, lawns

He finished the war in the rank of captain and in the post of deputy chief of the operational department of the 28th separate artillery division of the breakthrough of the reserve of the Main Command. Awarded with the Order of the Red Star, medals For military merit, For the victory over Germany

Rina Zelenaya

Ekaterina Zelenaya (real name of the actress who played the famous tortoise Tortila) did not go to the attack and did not personally hit the Nazis. But she also contributed a lot to the Victory Box. In the composition of the concert brigades, the actress of the Moscow state capital was constantly at the front. In the award page to the Order of the Red Star it is written: "Coming on the 4th Ukrainian front, Comrade GREEN, together with the fighting units, passed through the Carpathians." In moments of respite between fights in a dugout, a destroyed barn, or in a clearing, she performed in 83 concerts for rank-and-file officers and generals "

In the autumn of 1945, the actress visited Berlin, where, by her own admission, she signed at the Reichstag

Yuriy Katin-Yartsev

Yuri Katin-Yartsev in 1939 entered the theatrical school named after B. V. Shchukin, but a month later he was drafted into the Red Army. He fell to become a military railwayman. The Voronezh Front, the First Ukrainian, the 4th Ukrainian, and everywhere the Komsin-Yartsev Komsomol-Yartsev, along with his fellow soldiers, restored the railroad tracks along which echelons with equipment and fighters marched to the front.

Yuri Katin-Yartsev received his first award, the Medal of Military Merit, in October 1944. And in May 1945 he was awarded the Order of the Red Star. Later, Yuri Vasilyevich received another award: the medal "For victory over Germany." He was demobilized only in 1946

Nikolay Grinko

Unfortunately, I could not find the front photo of Nikolai Grinko. This is a shot from the movie "Order: fire does not open." But he is also a front-line soldier. In 1940, Nikolay Grinko was called to the Red Army, sent to 619 BAO. At the front, Grinko served as a rifleman on a long-range bomber. But even the war can not stop the artistic nature. In the award sheet for the medal "For Military Merit" it is written: "Comrade Grinko Nikolai Grigorevich showed himself to be a disciplined, seasoned Red Army soldier." Grinko is the organizer of the amateur performance of the serviced regiment, politically developed well "

That's such a "Pinocchio"!
