Just yesterday I returned from a family vacation at sea. Rested in Adler. More precisely in the Nizhneimeretinsky Bay, which is slightly south. Where is the Sochi Olympic Park. There are in the rest in this place and its pluses and minuses
So first about the pros.
Very long new promenade (about 5 km), on which it is quite pleasant to walk in the evening. Visually clear sea - every pebble is visible. A diverse choice of housing is literally within walking distance from the beach - from luxury hotels for big money, to budget tourist bases (left over from the times of the USSR) with amenities on the street. Well, like all.
And now about the cons.
When building Olympic facilities, someone apparently decided that green spaces are limited to a lawn only. Well, and even in some places with low growing palmochkami. Neither green squares, nor shady avenues, where you can at the lunchtime hide from the heat. Most of the time you will be in the sun. So the tan is guaranteed.
Further. Let's go back to the embankment. For some reason, someone decided that everyone wants to walk on it and ride various bicycles and electric cars. The fact that in the evening someone would just like to sit on the embankment on a bench and listen to the sound of the sea (unless of course he heard through the music of numerous cafes), no one thought. For all 5 km of the embankment, the number of shops can be counted on the fingers. And yes, in the afternoon, in the heat, nothing on it, again, will protect you from the scorching sun - the trees along the embankment are rare (unlike all kinds of cafes).
And the main thing. Free of the sea only the sun, air and water. You have to pay for everything else. But this is understandable and true. Nothing is free. But you will have to pay double price. All objects are intended solely to facilitate the wallet of the rest with a maximum speed. Even if you went to the beach late at night to sit by the sea and sat down on a lounger (I just said about the lack of benches), an employee of the beach will immediately come running to you with information that the lounger is paid. All coastal shops and cafes are also designed exclusively for pumping out money. Of course, there are relatively inexpensive canteens, but they will have to stand in line, and the quality of food, of course, often leaves much to be desired
Although, to be honest, in general, I am satisfied with the rest. The children took a ride on the rides in Sochi-Park, watched the fish in the aquarium and the dolphins in the dolphinarium. And most importantly, bathed in the sea.
