I once did a story that in 1967 in the American magazine "Life" was published material correspondent Peter Young about the Soviet film studio "Mosfilm". The article was called "Super Film Studio in the USSR" (USSR's super movie studio) and was illustrated with many photographs of Dmitry Kessel, a photo correspondent for Life.
Then I promised that as there were a lot of photos taken for this report, I will post them later in separate posts. The time has come to keep the promise.
Here is a fragment of the article in the magazine, which tells about the shooting of the film "Aibolit-66"

Note that in the title of the film is called the "remote version of Dr. Dolittle". Well, the Americans didn’t know (and probably don’t know) about our Aibolit. At the same time, it is impossible to call Aibolit plagiarism. Chukovsky created his poetic version of the doctor without knowing about the book of Hugh Loft, and the Vilna doctor and public figure Tsemach Shabad served as a prototype for him. Later he made a literary translation of the tale of Lofting, in which he indicated the authorship, but the name of the good doctor left his own.
But today it's not about that, but about photos from the filming of a film about a doctor
Take a look at what interesting shots - Rolan Bykov explains to Lydia Knyazeva how to play the role of Sheep Chi-Chi

And this is Lidiya Knyazeva herself.

Here is Dr. Aibolit performed by Oleg Efremov with his team - Chi-Chi monkey and Avva the dog (played by Evgeny Vasilyev

The image of Aibolit in the fulfillment of Ephraim can be called canonical

Well, this is Barmaley himself performed by Rolan Bykov.

Perfect pirate and robber

He was also with two assistants.

One was played by Frunzik Mkrtchyan

And another Aleksey Smirnov

Judging by the photographs, Alexey Makarovich became friends with the local children.

And I enjoyed spending my free time with them.

A lot of pictures, look further without comment

Well, to be continued. Ahead of us are waiting for shots from the filming of "Andrei Rublev," "Tales of Tsar Saltan," "Adventures of the Dentist" and other films
